Marketing Communications Manager

Reports to: Executive Director of Marketing & Communications

We are searching for a vibrant, well-organized, media savvy Communications Manager to help boost the profile of our growing list of innovative fine arts programs. VCFA’s Marketing & Communications Department works to raise the organization’s visibility and promote visiting the College. This position reports directly to the Executive Director of Marketing and Communications.

Major responsibilities include writing and editing press releases for exhibitions, academic programs, and external events, as well as working with the media to obtain reviews, features, previews of exhibitions, coverage of academic programs. The Communications Manager circulates relevant material to media, makes pitches, and partners and collaborates with writers and the College's Program Directors on an ongoing basis.

Program Assistant, MFA in Writing

Status: Part-time
Salary: $15/per hour

Vermont College of Fine Arts is seeking a part-time Program Assistant for the Master of Fine Arts in Writing Program in Montpelier, VT.  This is a year-round position that requires a flexible schedule to accommodate the variations between the semester and high intensity residency periods (in January and July).

Position Summary: The MFA in Writing Program Assistant works with the Director and Assistant Director of the MFA in Writing Program to organize materials and arrangements for the program and semi-annual residencies. Typical tasks include copying, filing, data entry, tracking information and forms, postings on the program’s Common as well as social media sites, among numerous other program tasks.  The person will assist as needed with the daily functions of the program’s 10-day summer and winter residencies. This person will need to adapt to a varying and flexible schedule.  The qualified applicant will possess good communication and interpersonal skills, be highly organized and highly technologically proficient.
